The Council Bursary has been presented each year since 2009 to a student between the ages of 17 and 21 who has been accepted to study at a post-secondary school. Recipients must also have a parent or guardian who owns or rents land in the municipality. The Council Bursary is funded solely by the personal contributions of the reeve and each Councillor of the R.M. of Canwood No. 494.

Congratulations to Administrator Lorna Benson on the successful completion of the Municipal Leadership Development Program (MLDP).

The MLDP Program is a series of modules developed exclusively for elected and appointed municipal leaders in Saskatchewan. There are 6 modules that cover topics such as Strategic Planning, Economic Development and Land Use Planning.

The Assessment Roll of the R.M. of Canwood No. 494 for the year 2017 has been prepared and is now open to inspection at the municipal office from Monday to Friday during office hours until Monday, June 12, 2017.
