What is OptionPay?- OptionPay is a payment card system the Rural Municipality of Canwood No.494 uses for its online credit card transactions. You can find out more information about OptionPay by visiting their website here.
- Yes. All transactions carried out through OptionPay follow a tiered fee schedule, starting at a minimum fee of $2.00. To see the full fee schedule for using this payment option, please visit their fee schedule here.
- The fees are administered through the OptionPay program for the use of the service and not through the R.M. of Canwood No.494.
- OptionPay provides information on their security measures here. The R.M. of Canwood is set up as a payee with the following institutions: Credit Unions, Scotiabank and TD Canada Trust. We are listed as Canwood No 494 (RM) Taxes, and when adding The R.M. of Canwood as a payee you will be asked to add an account number with a minimum of 5 digits. This account number is the number in brackets beside your name on your tax notice as you will see in the example below.
If you have less than a 5 digit account number you can add additional zeros.
